Suz and I were on our way down to Chehalis to visit my cousin Melinda, and we opted to veer off the freeway in Olympia to take a few pictures of our state capital.
We wandered all around taking pictures--Most of them in dim light (aka problematic). I chose this one for both the architecture and the lighting. It's a view looking straight up into the dome of the building. The place is very ornate, and it contains the most marble I have ever seen in a structure. It's hard to get the scope of the size of everything in this shot, but if it helps, according to what we overheard during a tour that was going on while we were there that chandelier in this picture weighs 5 tons! Yes, it's big.
