I couldn't believe how far gone these spark plugs were when I took them out of my little ol' Plymouth Neon. They were literally missing about 1/32'' of the center electrode (if that means anything to you). That's a lot of erosion! I guess what it translated into is: I was lucky the car ran at all.
I set the plugs out on a paper towel in natural light--Not sunny, but fairly bright. I used our Canon 100mm macro lens for this one.

Sorry I have been MIA. And this is funny -- no, INTERESTING, that two cars you recently fixed had parts which had been worn way past their prime! Hmmmm, very suspicious!
